Family Workshop: Bags and Fans

We supply the materials and fabric pens. You supply the inspiration. Children must be accompanied by an adult to take part in the workshops. Booking is essential and it includes a tour of the museum if you wish. Refreshments for adults are available to buy in our Tea Room.

Upcycled Jewellery Art: Reimagine and reuse old jewellery

A Fun and flexible workshop for all ages and abilities run by Trisha McGarry. Trisha passionately saves all broken and discarded jewellery, and creatively re-imagines the beads into pictures and hanging decorations. Once you have tried it who knows where your imagination may take you,
brightening anything you fancy with a little extra ‘bling’. All the Equipment is supplied.

Anya Glinski: Crinoline & Crinolette

Our fourth talk this year from Anya Glinski sees us examine fashions in the mid nineteenth century, focusing on the iconic crinoline shape. This talk will compliment existing displays in the museum and we will also get some items ‘out of the archive’ to examine up close!

Anya Glinski’s fifth talk for us this year focuses on the fashions of the 1870s and 1880s, featuring the iconic bustle. This talk will compliment items on display at the museum and we will also be getting some items out of the archive so you can have a close look!

Anya Glinski: The Naughty Nineties and Belle Epoch

Anya Glinski’s final talk for us this year focuses on fashion at the end of the 19th Century. This talk will compliment some of the existing displays at the museum and we will also be getting some additional items out of the archives for attendees to have a closer look at!
