We welcome visiting groups to our museum throughout the season which runs from mid-February to the end of November. We’re confident that you will find a visit to Blandford Fashion Museum to be fascinating and we hope you will learn something about our unique museum and the many thousands of garments and textiles that are in our care.
You may visit on a Monday, Thursday or Friday. You will be personally welcomed by a member of our team and listen to a short talk about life at Lime Tree House which was bought especially to house our collection. Following that you will be able to tour the museum at your own pace taking in all the wonderful exhibits. Each year, at least two of the exhibitions are changed so there is an ever-changing display.
If you’re a large group who would like to visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday, please contact the museum in the first instance. Please bear in mind that most of the museum staff are volunteers and we may not be able to accept a booking on those particular days.
University and school groups are also very welcome and we will try to tailor the visit with your curriculum. Please contact us at email@example.com for more information. Two members of staff/carers are admitted free of charge.
We also have a charming tearoom where you may enjoy your pre-ordered drink and food. You can take as long as you want to rest and recuperate and our knowledgeable tearoom staff will be able to answer any questions you have. In fine weather, you may enjoy the courtyard garden.
Also, in the tearoom is a small but excellent gift shop with affordable items to buy as a memento of your visit. One of the most popular purchases is a copy of our Blandford Fashion Museum brochure which will give you more information about many of our treasures. It makes an excellent gift.
Please note that the museum is over two floors and, currently, we don’t have any way of moving those with significant mobility issues to the first floor. The disabled WC is on the ground floor. Any accompanying carers are granted free admission.
For further information and a booking form please contact the museum either by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or on 01258 453006. As we are only open 4 days a week, an email would be preferred.
